The northern part of Malawi is known for the beauty of Nyika National Park. Less well documented but equally as stunning are the small villages of Henga Valley. While having lunch at the house of a villager in May 2010, I went on a tour of his pig stables. Six of his sows had recently given birth. He had not been at home when they did, however, and feral dogs killed several of the newborn piglets.
